Position Title: Shipper/Receiver

Schedule: 5 days on 2 days off

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect goods for damage.

Prepare and pack outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper labeling.

Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including invoices and inventory logs.

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

Organize and maintain the warehouse to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Collaborate with other departments to coordinate shipments and manage inventory levels.

Communicate with carriers and vendors to resolve shipping discrepancies and ensure timely deliveries.

Perform cycle counts and regular inventory audits to maintain accurate stock levels.

Transport time-sensitive goods to various locations safely and efficiently while securing cargo properly to ensure it is transported without damage.

Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Required Qualifications:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Proven experience in shipping and receiving, hot shot driver or similar role.

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong multitasking abilities, effectively managing multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously. Additionally, the candidate should have excellent stress management skills, maintaining composure and performance under pressure to ensure successful outcomes in a dynamic work environment.

Familiarity with operating delivery vehicles such as pickup trucks or similar vehicles.

Physically capable of loading and unloading cargo with the ability to lift heavy packages and stand for extended periods.

Familiarity with inventory management systems and warehouse procedures.

Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, time management and route planning skills.

Ability to work independently and efficiently.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
