Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, construction, or maintenance environments, with proficiency in various technical skills. This role involves performing maintenance, repairs, and installations to ensure operational efficiency and safety. The Technician will work closely with team members to troubleshoot issues, interpret schematics, and utilize hand tools to complete tasks effectively.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute repairs and installations accurately.
- Utilize hand tools, calipers, and other precision measurement instruments to ensure quality workmanship.
- Execute rigging procedures for lifting and positioning heavy components safely.
- Assist with plumbing, HVAC systems, and mechanical repairs to maintain facility operations.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using basic math and technical knowledge to diagnose problems efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance and repair activities.
- Document work performed and report on the status of equipment or systems requiring attention.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing, construction, or maintenance environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, schematics reading, and mechanical systems is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with hand tools, calipers, rigging equipment, and basic math skills required for precise measurements and calculations.
- Prior experience working with blueprints or schematics in industrial settings is a plus.
