Focus Mfg. Inc. is a Vancouver based manufacturing company, serving mainly local high-tech companies with their requirements for precision machined components. The CNC Machine Shop Hand will perform a large variety of tasks, work with CNC equipment, and perform other duties as outlined below.
Responsibilities:
- Run parts on CNC milling and turning machines.
- Cut stock for manufacturing operations.
- Operate polishing, sanding, and tumbling equipment.
- Operate laser engraving machine.
- Perform product quality control and assembly.
- Read and interpret CAD drawings.
- Maintain a tidy work area.
- Assist in organizing materials and tools required for jobs.
- Assist with shop improvement projects.
Requirements:
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Positive attitude, energetic and motivated to gain hands on experience in a machine shop environment.
- Strong hands-on and mechanical skills.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Experience working with a variety of hand and power tools.
- Ability to take direction and work independently to complete tasks on time and to specifications.
- Strong interest in learning and developing new skills.

Morning shift (6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and day shift (9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) are available for this position.
