Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals, assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication
- Supervise individuals during activities to ensure safety and engagement, offering guidance and encouragement as needed.
- Develop and maintain supportive relationships with individuals, understanding their unique needs and preferences.
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance skills and knowledge related to client care.
- Promote social interaction by facilitating recreational activities that encourage participation and enjoyment.
Requirements
- Post Secondary diploma for Developmental Services Worker or equivalent in Human Services Field (preferred)
- 1st year DSW Students may also apply
- Personal Support Workers certificate or Equivalent
- Valid Ontario Driver's License (Class G)
- Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check
