Big West Ford is currently seeking a motivated Quick Lane Tech to join our busy Service Department. This is a great opportunity for someone with lube bay or tire experience who is looking to build a long-term career in the automotive industry.
In this role, you will perform routine maintenance services, assist with tire work, complete basic inspections, and help keep our Quick Lane operating efficiently. If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in doing things properly, and work well in a fast-paced shop environment, we would like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform oil and filter changes and routine maintenance services
- Complete tire services, including rotations, repairs, mounting, and balancing
- Perform basic vehicle inspections and communicate findings
- Identify and recommend additional maintenance when appropriate
- Assist Journeyman Technicians as required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Support daily shop operations and complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous lube bay or tire experience is required
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience driving both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
- Basic computer skills
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Positive attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment
- Dealership experience is considered an asset
- First Aid/CPR and WHMIS certifications are assets, but not required
