Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware, dishes, and utensils, ensuring a smooth and hygienic operation in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment. This role is essential in supporting food service operations and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning methods.
- Ensure all dishes are returned to proper storage areas in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and floors.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and assisting kitchen staff.
- Follow food handling and safety guidelines to prevent contamination.
- Support the overall cleanliness of the dining area and kitchen environment.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic with reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks comfortably.
