Responsibilities
-
Responsible for the structural installation, assembly, and sub-assembly of aircraft systems, parts, and components within a project and/or assigned work area.

Use technical data and instructions provided by the customer or aircraft manufacturer.

Use jigs and position components based on PVA, engineering drawings, or any other materials provided by the Methods Department.

Read and interpret blueprints or manufacturing documentation.
-
Adapt work to different types of assemblies: large / small components.

Set up and operate manual or automated machines and tools according to the work being performed.

Assemble metal and/or composite parts according to the technical specifications provided by the customer:
-
Install the required fasteners; drill holes; ensure the correct products are used for assembly (bolts, solid or mechanical rivets, screws, or accessories used to secure, support, or suspend components and sub-assemblies).

Ensure the correct products are used for assembly (sealants, bonding materials, corrosion protection, and paint).

Ensure the conformity of assemblies with the manufacturing documentation.

Inspect and verify installed units, parts, and equipment to ensure proper fit, performance, and compliance with the standards defined in the technical documentation.

Meet quality standards and production targets.

Comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Report any abnormalities or irregularities.
Skills and Qualifications
-
3 to 5 years of experience as a Structural Assembler in the aerospace industry.

Minimum DEP in Aircraft Structural Assembly or equivalent.

Excellent knowledge of blueprint reading.

Strong manual dexterity.
-
Quick learner with strong attention to detail.

Proficiency in French, both spoken and written.
