Job Summary
This is a fulltime position which requires you to relocate to a small town in Alberta
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to oversee manufacturing operations within our organization. This pivotal role involves managing production processes, optimizing workflows, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, expertise in process improvement methodologies, and proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP. This position offers an excellent opportunity to lead continuous improvement initiatives, enhance supply chain efficiency, and uphold rigorous quality control standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily manufacturing activities to meet production targets efficiently
- Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve productivity
- Utilize SAP and other ERP systems to manage production schedules, inventory levels, and material requirements planning (MRP)
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure timely procurement of materials and optimal inventory levels
- Lead process improvement projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and product quality
- Oversee quality control procedures to ensure products meet company standards and regulatory requirements
- Manage assembly line operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and standard operating procedures
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production output, efficiency, and quality
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through training, team engagement, and innovative problem-solving
Skills
- Extensive experience with SAP or similar ERP systems for manufacturing management
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively
- Proven track record in process improvement methodologies such as Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma
- Deep understanding of supply chain dynamics and inventory management strategies
- Proficiency with MRP systems for planning and scheduling production activities
- Knowledge of quality control standards and best practices within manufacturing environments
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive operational excellence
- Effective communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration and stakeholder engagement

Pay: $55,251.17-$150,000.00 per year
