Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to lead and oversee Civil Excavating projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising daily operations on-site, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, and managing team performance. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in construction processes, and proficiency with industry-specific software tools. The Construction Foreman will play a pivotal role in delivering projects on time, within scope, and according to client specifications.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules
- Lead and manage construction crews, providing clear instructions and support to meet project goals
- Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide construction tasks
- Manage project timelines using Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software
- Oversee budgeting processes related to labor, materials, and equipment usage
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout the construction process
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Bluebeam for documentation, reporting, and communication
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth workflow
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings on-site
Skills
- Proven supervising experience in construction projects
- Must have extensive experience in excavating and earthworks
- Expertise in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating
- Ability to manage budgets effectively while maintaining high-quality standards
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and resolve conflicts efficiently
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and safety regulations in the construction industry
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in project planning and execution
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members, clients, and stakeholders

Pay: $25.47-$38.00 per hour
