Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CCTV & Access Control Technician to join our dynamic security team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced security systems, including closed-circuit television (CCTV), access control systems, sensors, and telecommunication infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure the safety and security of our facilities through precise system setup and proactive maintenance. Duties
- Install, configure, and service CCTV cameras, access control panels, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and related low voltage systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately wire and assemble security infrastructure.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical components, power supplies, and computer hardware associated with security systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to ensure optimal system performance.
- Collaborate with construction teams during new installations or upgrades by providing technical guidance on schematics and telecommunication layouts.
- Document all system configurations, repairs, and updates meticulously in maintenance logs and reports.
- Assist in testing sensors, alarms, and network connectivity to verify system integrity across various security platforms.
Experience
- Proven experience with CCTV installation, maintenance, or repair in commercial or industrial settings.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical or mechanical systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of computer networking principles as they relate to security systems integration.
- Electrical experience with low voltage wiring, power supplies, and circuit troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with telecommunication infrastructure and sensor technologies used in modern security solutions.
- Construction experience is preferred to coordinate effectively during facility upgrades or new builds.
- Ability to operate hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, wire strippers) and power tools safely and efficiently.
