Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Labourer to join our team and assist with a variety of outdoor landscaping projects. This role involves working in diverse environments to maintain and enhance residential, commercial, and public landscapes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, a strong work ethic, and an interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance. Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, pruning, mowing, and general garden care to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal
- Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and other gardening implements efficiently and safely
- Use power tools including trimmers, blowers, and small machinery for landscape maintenance tasks
- Support the installation of irrigation systems and perform routine maintenance to ensure proper functioning
- Operate construction equipment such as excavators under supervision for site preparation or landscaping projects
- Prepare sites by clearing debris, grading soil, and performing excavation tasks as needed
- Assist with the installation of landscape features such as pathways, retaining walls, or plant beds
- Maintain safety protocols at all times during outdoor work and equipment operation
- Perform general maintenance tasks to keep tools and equipment in good working condition
Skills
- Experience with excavators, irrigation systems, gardening, or horticulture is highly desirable
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices including planting, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control
- Mechanical knowledge helpful for troubleshooting small machinery or power tools
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Construction experience beneficial for site preparation and installation projects
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy loads and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new techniques and procedures
- Attention to detail to ensure quality work and safety standards are met
Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
