Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Gravel Truck Driver to join our team in Northern Saskatchewan. The ideal candidate will operate heavy-duty trucks to transport gravel and other materials efficiently and safely across designated routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, adherence to transportation regulations, and the ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance. Responsibilities
- Safely operate gravel trucks and other heavy equipment during transportation of materials.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload gravel, ensuring proper distribution and securing of loads.
- Follow established routes and schedules, maintaining punctuality and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and minor repairs; report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Assist with forklift operation or freight handling as needed for loading or unloading materials.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies during daily operations.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (Class 1A) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating heavy trucks, preferably in construction or mining environments.
- Basic automotive repair skills are desirable for maintaining vehicle performance.
- Ability to handle freight securely and operate within safety standards.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for record keeping and inspections.
- Physical ability to load, unload, and secure materials; capable of working in outdoor conditions.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background checks and drug and alcohol screening requirements.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
