Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in deliveries and operate heavy equipment or forklifts as needed. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, efficiency, and reliability.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport freight and goods to designated destinations
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary
- Ability to lift and carry goods of varying weights, including heavy bulk items (rice bags, noodle boxes, sauces).
- Navigate routes efficiently, adhering to traffic laws and delivery schedules
- Manage freight documentation and ensure accurate delivery records
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
- Follow safety protocols at all times, including proper handling of freight and operation of heavy machinery
Skills
- A standard driver’s license is required with clean driving record
- Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or other industrial machinery is a plus
- Knowledge of freight handling, loading/unloading procedures, and safety regulations
- Basic automotive repair skills are advantageous for vehicle maintenance needs
- Strong navigation skills with the ability to read maps or GPS systems accurately
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various environments
Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
