As the Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations, support and coach staff, maintain high service standards, and ensure every guest enjoys an unforgettable experience. This is a leadership role that requires professionalism, strong communication, and the ability to perform under pressure.
Responsibilities
* Supervise daily food and beverage operations during service.
* Lead, motivate, and support bartenders, servers, hosts, security, and support staff.
* Ensure exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns professionally and efficiently.
* Assist with scheduling, staff supervision, and shift management.
* Train new team members while reinforcing company policies, service standards, and procedures.
* Maintain a strong presence on the floor throughout service while assisting with opening, closing, and end-of-night procedures.
* Monitor staff performance and create a positive, accountable team culture.
* Work closely with kitchen and management teams to ensure smooth operations.
* Monitor labour costs, inventory, and operational efficiency while maintaining excellent guest service.
* Ensure compliance with Alberta Health & Safety regulations, AGLC requirements, and Fire N Ice policies.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
* Minimum 2–3 years of food and beverage experience.
* At least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
* Previous experience in a restaurant, lounge, bar, nightclub, or entertainment venue is preferred.
* Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
* Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
* Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
* ProServe Certification is required.
* First Aid & CPR certification is considered an asset.
