Responsibilities
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of all food & beverage outlets, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction.
- Supervise front-of-house staff to maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and efficiency.
- Monitor opening and closing procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Support in scheduling, training, and motivating team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Ensure outlets are adequately staffed and properly prepared for service.
- Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Maintain a visible presence on the floor during peak service times to support staff and engage with guests.
- Uphold brand standards and service consistency across all outlets.
- Assist in managing daily cash flow, deposits, and reconciliation.
- Monitor sales performance, labor costs, and inventory levels to meet budget goals.
- Support the Director of Food & Beverage in preparing reports, forecasts, and cost analyses.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations.
- Work closely with culinary, banquets, and events teams to coordinate service and maximize efficiency.
- Participate in regular management meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead by example, fostering a positive, team-oriented environment.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance reviews of outlet staff.
- Assist in executing promotions, seasonal offerings, and special events to drive outlet revenue.
- Maintain strong product knowledge to recommend food, beverage, and upselling opportunities.
- Observe and follow the established Emergency, Fire and Health & Safety policies
Qualifications
- 3-5 years proven hotel experience in a progressively senior role of responsibility, with a strong knowledge and understanding of the Food & Beverage Department
- Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management or related field is preferred
- Flexible availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed
- Excellent leadership abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, POS systems (e.g. Squirrel, Toast, Micros) and inventory management software as well as time management
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of service standards, financial management, and operations best practices
