Inspire. Perform. Build Community.
Red Bird is looking for exceptional music teachers who believe that learning music should be inspiring, welcoming, and fun.
We're not a conservatory, and we're not an exam-based music school. At Red Bird, we help people discover the joy of making music, build confidence, and ultimately get them performing in front of an audience. Whether it's a child's first guitar lesson, an adult returning to music after twenty years, or a band preparing for its first performance, our goal is simple: help people fall in love with playing music.
We're looking for teachers who share that philosophy.

- Are experienced musicians and confident performers.
- Enjoy working with students of all ages and abilities.
- Can make learning enjoyable without sacrificing good technique.
- Believe music education should be encouraging, practical, and inspiring.

Why Teach at Red Bird?
Red Bird is more than a music school—it's one of Ottawa's most active live music communities. Our teachers become part of a vibrant environment where lessons, concerts, open stages, workshops, and performances all happen under one roof.
We believe students learn best when they have something to work toward, which is why performance opportunities are an important part of the Red Bird experience. Our goal isn't to create professional musicians—it's to help people experience the confidence and joy that comes from making music and sharing it with others.
