This is a Fixed Term Contract Position that will run from August 2026 - January 2027.

The Warehouse Pipeyard Technician is responsible for handling, moving, loading and unloading materials by Lift Truck and/or using a variety of material handling equipment in the delivery of services to the client in accordance with ASCO policy, procedures, work instructions and agreed service level agreements.
Roles & Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Safely load, unload, move, and transport materials using forklifts and other approved material handling equipment.
- Pick, pack, and prepare materials for shipment.
- Receive incoming materials and verify deliveries against shipping documentation.
- Inspect materials for damage or discrepancies upon receipt.
- Accurately receive materials into the inventory management system.
- Store materials in designated warehouse locations and confirm bin locations within the inventory system.
- Support inventory control activities, including cycle counts and annual inventory counts.
- Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and security of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Transport materials between warehouse locations and client sites as required.
Equipment Operation
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Operate front-end loaders (asset).
- Operate overhead cranes (asset).
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of safe lifting practices, crane movements, rigging procedures, hand signals, and radio communication.
HSEQ
- Perform all work safely and in accordance with ASCO's Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures.
- Comply with all applicable work instructions, procedures, and safety standards.
- Report hazards, incidents, near misses, and policy breaches to the appropriate supervisor.
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, drills, and other HSEQ initiatives.
- Promote a safe and positive workplace by identifying and addressing potential hazards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Warehouse experience preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours)
- One must be physically able to sustain such duties as lifting and moving around goods. WPT's are frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
- Must also be detail-oriented and time savvy. In a working day, a WPT process materials in a timely manner.
- Warehouse stock is facilitated using various information systems as determined by the company. Must be comfortable with learning how to navigate new software systems (spreadsheets, databases, etc.).

Training Requirements
- Beyond the minimum training requirements, WPT's who work in Receiving must review Material Receipt Work Aid WA-NL-WH-001 annually and adhere to instructions within. Understanding shall be assessed upon the completion of training.
- Undergo thorough forklift competency assessment every three years (or as deemed necessary by management).
- Regardless of department or position, all employees are required to attend and are expected to participate in a combination of arrangements and methods intended to facilitate learning, including (but not limited to); Safety Meetings, Tool Box Talks, Lessons Leaned, Workshops, Drills, etc.).

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
