POSITION OVERVIEW
We are currently looking for a shop foreman to oversee all sheet metal activities on the shop floor.
Primary responsibilities will include the capability of providing your oversight, experience and mentorship to all of our shop floor employees using effective management and delegation of duties.
The successful candidate will be capable of rolling up their sleeves to perform many of the duties associated with the shop floor when needed ( i.e stepping into a production role during overflow or gaps in production when needed.)
Expertise required includes but are not limited to the operation of CNC laser, press brake, punching, shear, PEM® fastener insertion machines.
This role will also includes providing guidance and supervision to personnel across the various internal departments on the shop floor of the company and will play a critical role in ensuring efficient workflow and customer satisfaction through expert technical oversight and team management.
Responsibilities
· Working in collaboration with the Production Manager ,responsible for delegating work to individuals in the shop and giving them the next orders to complete.
· Having the capability to step into production during overflow or gaps in production when needed (i.e laser, press brake, tapping and organizing on the shop floor).
· Capable of executing many of the duties associated with sheet metal equipment in the shop including but not limited to the CNC laser, press brake, punching, shear, PEM® fastener insertion machine , band saw, deburring, drilling, tapping and related brake press equipment.
Experience
- 3-5 years of supervisory or lead hand experience in a sheet metal fabrication facility and manufacturing environment.
- 5- 7 Years of general experience working in a sheet metal fabrication facility and manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience of executing many of the duties associated with sheet metal equipment in the shop including but not limited to the CNC punching, shear, PEM® fastener insertion machine, band saw, deburring, drilling, tapping and related brake press equipment.
