For nearly 40 years, Unideco has built a reputation for delivering exceptional painting services across Calgary's commercial, production residential, and custom home markets. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a dependable Labourer / Construction Helper to support our field crews and day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on, varied role involving material deliveries, site cleanups, shop tasks, and general support for our painters and field staff. Previous painting or construction experience is an asset, but it isn't required. We're willing to train the right person who brings a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a genuine interest in learning the trade. For someone who proves themselves, there is room to advance into a Painter position. We're actively interviewing and looking to fill this position immediately.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver paint, materials, tools, and supplies to active job sites.
- Pick up materials and supplies from vendors and deliver them where needed.
- Assist painters with setup, masking, moving materials, and general labour tasks.
- Complete job site cleanups and help keep work areas safe and organized.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
- Assist with shop organization, general maintenance, and miscellaneous odd jobs.
- Support field crews and the operations team with other duties as required.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- A valid Class 5 Driver's Licence.
- A clean driving record and confidence driving throughout Calgary and surrounding areas.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs and performing manual labour throughout the workday.
- Able to follow instructions, work safely, and complete tasks with care.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience Considered an Asset
- Previous painting, construction, general labour, or material-handling experience.
- Experience working on active construction sites.
- Basic knowledge of safe material handling and job site practices.
