Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, customer-focused Licensed Optician to join our team in Edmonton. The ideal candidate will have strong optical dispensing knowledge, excellent patient care skills, and experience with in-house lens edging.
Duties
- Assist patients with selecting frames and lenses that suit their prescription, lifestyle, and budget.
- Perform accurate optical measurements, frame fittings, adjustments, and repairs.
- Edge, mount, and inspect lenses using optical edging equipment.
- Verify prescription accuracy and ensure all finished eyewear meets quality standards.
- Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and proper eyewear care.
- Process orders and communicate with optical laboratories when required.
- Maintain inventory, equipment, and accurate patient records.
- Provide exceptional customer service in a professional and welcoming environment.
Skills/Experience/Certifications
- Licensed Optician in Alberta.
- Experience operating optical edging equipment and mounting lenses.
- Strong knowledge of ophthalmic lenses, frames, and lens products.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
