We are looking for an experienced and dependable Handyman to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate should be skilled in a variety of residential repair and installation services and be able to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Fence repair and installation
- Minor plumbing repairs and fixture installations
- Minor electrical work (switches, outlets, light fixtures, etc.)
- Appliance installation (dishwashers, microwaves, range hoods, washers, dryers, etc.)
- Flooring repair and installation (laminate, vinyl plank, and other common flooring types)
- Drywall patching and minor repairs
- Caulking and grout repairs
- Door, lock, and hardware installation/repair
- Furniture assembly
- TV mounting and shelving installation
- General home maintenance and repair tasks
- Diagnose issues and recommend practical repair solutions
- Maintain a clean and professional work environment
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of handyman or related construction experience
- Strong knowledge of residential repairs and maintenance
- Experience with:
- Fence repair and installation
- Minor plumbing
- Minor electrical work
- Appliance installation
- Flooring installation and repairs
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
- Own basic hand and power tools
- Valid BC Driver’s Licence and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Punctual, professional, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in painting, drywall finishing, tiling, carpentry, and trim work
- Experience working in occupied residential homes
- Ability to complete jobs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
