About Foragers
Foragers Meadery & Lounge is a craft meadery and 60-seat dining lounge on BC's Sunshine Coast. We brew our own mead and fermented beverages in-house and pair them with locally sourced, inspired food in a warm, unhurried setting. We're building something meaningful — and we're looking for the right person to help lead the front of house.
The Role
We're seeking an experienced Front of House Manager / Bartender to run our lounge during service. You'll be behind the bar, leading the team, and setting the standard for every guest experience. This is a hands-on leadership position — you'll grow with us as we grow.
What You'll Do
- Bartend during dinner service — mead and cocktails
- Guide guests through our house-made meads and seasonal food menu
- Oversee FOH operations during your shifts; lead and support servers, hosts, and runners
- Manage opening and closing procedures, POS balancing, and cash handling
- Onboard and train new FOH team members
- Ensure compliance with BC Liquor regulations, Serving It Right, FoodSafe 1, and WorkSafe BC
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of bartending experience, with supervisory or leadership responsibility
- Valid Serving It Right certification (BC)
- Valid FoodSafe Level 1 certification
- Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and cocktail craft
- Enthusiasm for craft and fermented beverages — mead experience a strong asset
- Experience with POS systems and cash management
- Excellent communication with guests and team members alike
- A genuine passion for hospitality
Compensation & Perks
- $55,000 - 60,000 annual salary — commensurate with experience
- Full-time permanent, 30–40 hours per week
- Vacation: 2 weeks/year, rising to 3 after 5 years (BC ESA)
