Amsted Design-Build is looking for an experienced Project Manager (10+ years’ experience or business ownership) to lead custom home and residential renovation projects, guiding clients through the construction process from start to finish.
In this role, you’ll combine strong communication skills, proven construction management experience, and attention to detail to help transform our clients’ challenges into life-changing solutions.
What You Will Do
You’ll take projects from design through to completion, coordinating labour, materials, and trade partners to deliver a smooth, high-quality build.
You’ll be responsible for keeping projects on track—on time, on budget, and deficiency-free—while maintaining a safe, well-managed jobsite. Just as importantly, you’ll represent Amsted on-site, building strong client relationships and creating an experience that leads to lasting satisfaction and referrals.
The Project Manager will:
- Deliver projects on time, on budget, and to a high standard of quality
- Lead on-site construction and supervise in-house technicians and trade partners
- Coordinate schedules, materials, and subcontractors
- Maintain consistent client communication, including leading weekly meetings
- Monitor quality and ensure all work meets company standards
- Promote and enforce jobsite safety
- Build strong client relationships that lead to satisfaction and referrals
What You Bring
- 10+ years of residential project management experience (including custom homes), with a strong work ethic and pride in quality workmanship
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and trades; carpentry experience is an asset
- Proven ability to coordinate projects, manage schedules, and lead crews and subcontractors
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build trust with clients
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning project management software; experience with Buildertrend is an asset
- Understanding of project budgets and basic accounting principles
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
