Platinum Fire Equipment Inc. is a growing, full-service fire protection company serving Southwestern Ontario for over 27 years. Operating from Brantford and Tillsonburg, we provide complete fire protection solutions including installation, inspection, maintenance, and service.
Our expertise covers fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, special suppression systems, emergency lighting, portable extinguishers, and high-pressure cylinder requalification. With a team of 26 employees, we continue to expand and are looking to add a skilled Shop technician to support our growth.
Onyx Fire Protection Services is currently seeking a dependable and hardworking Shop Technician to join our team. This role focuses on in-shop service work, including the maintenance, inspection, and high-pressure testing of fire extinguishers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the fire protection industry, as no prior experience is required training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Perform 6-year maintenance on fire extinguishers in accordance with safety standards
- Conduct high-pressure (hydrostatic) testing of fire extinguishers
- Inspect equipment for functionality and compliance
- Complete service documentation accuratel
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmen
- Follow all company procedures and safety regulations
- Assist team members with general shop tasks as needed
- Standing for extended periods (approximately 8 hours per day)
- Repetitive, hands-on service shop work
