Summary
We are seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor that provides a high level of service to members in the Clubhouse’s Men’s Locker Rooms and areas of the Club. This individual is responsible for overseeing staff and ensuring proper storage and organization of the linens, managing locker combinations and general cleanliness of the Locker Rooms and Club amenities. The Housekeeping Supervisor will provide friendly and attentive service to Members and their guests.
Duties:
- Conduct regular locker audits, maintain locker assignments and records, and coordinate with Member Services regarding locker changes, waitlists, and renewals.
- Manage and reconcile locker combinations, access records, and related confidential member information.
- Respond to and resolve escalated member concerns, service complaints, and locker-related disputes with professionalism and discretion.
- Exercise sound judgment in de-escalating concerns involving members and guests while maintaining Club service standards.
- Support service recovery efforts and recommend improvements to enhance the member experience.
- Liaise with Housekeeping Supervisor and Maintenance Manager regarding repairs, preventative maintenance, and service requests under the guidance of the Clubhouse Manager. Ensure staff compliance with Club policies, health and safety procedures, WHMIS requirements, and emergency response protocols.
- Investigate and document incidents, accidents, member complaints, or security concerns and escalate to Management as appropriate.
- Participate in departmental meetings, audits, and policy implementation initiatives.
- Oversee inventory control and ordering of locker room supplies, amenities, uniforms, and linens to ensure operational readiness.
- Support opening and closing procedures and ensure staff compliance with operational standards.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years supervisory experience in a retail or hospitality environment
- 2-5 years experience in a hotel, private club or residential community or related environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Able to bend, lift, and stand for extended periods; ability to lift up to 20lbs
- Experience with a Point of Sales System is an asset
- Experience using scheduling software is an asset
Health & Safety
Must work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act Regulation and follow in accordance to the Club’s Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Report all accidents, illnesses, or ‘near miss” incidents to your direct reporting Manager immediately.
