The Way Immigration is a CICC-licensed immigration consulting firm based in Calgary, Alberta, with over 18 years of experience helping clients navigate Canadian immigration pathways. We are one of the pioneering immigration consulting practices in the Calgary market, serving clients across Alberta and Canada.
As we grow our client services team, we are looking for an experienced and personable Immigration Sales Consultant to join us in person at our Calgary office. This is a high-impact role at the front line of our business, connecting prospective clients with our team of experienced RCICs.
Role Overview
The Immigration Sales Consultant is responsible for managing the full client journey from first contact through to retained engagement. You will be the first professional voice prospective clients hear, which means your ability to communicate clearly, build trust quickly, and guide people through a high-stakes decision process is central to this role.
You will work closely with our Principal RCIC and the consulting team to ensure every prospective client receives a timely, professional, and informed response to their immigration questions. This role is fully in-office at our Calgary location, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Intake and Lead Management
- Respond to inbound inquiries received via phone, email, web forms, and CRM within defined response time targets
- Conduct initial intake conversations to understand the prospective client’s immigration goals, situation, and eligibility
- Accurately qualify and categorize leads based on immigration program fit (Express Entry, spousal/common-law sponsorship, Permanent Residence pathways, citizenship, and other programs)
- Maintain and update all lead and client records in the CRM (Attorney Fuel) with precision and consistency
- Follow up with warm and unconverted leads according to established workflows
2. Consultation Booking and Client Conversion
- Explain TWI’s service model, fee structure, and consultation process clearly and professionally
- Book paid consultations and coordinate scheduling between prospective clients and RCICs
- Guide prospective clients through the decision to retain TWI for their immigration matter
- Handle objections with empathy and accuracy, drawing on a sound understanding of Canadian immigration programs
- Achieve monthly and quarterly conversion targets as set in collaboration with firm leadership
3. CRM, Reporting, and Administration
- Keep Attorney Fuel updated with all prospect activity, communication history, and status changes
- Provide weekly pipeline reports covering lead volume, conversion rates, and outstanding follow-ups
- Flag trends or recurring questions from prospective clients that may inform marketing or service improvements
- Support the team with intake documentation, appointment confirmations, and pre-consultation preparation materials
4. Client Relationship and Communication
- Serve as a professional and empathetic point of contact for prospective clients navigating an often stressful process
- Escalate complex or regulated questions to the appropriate RCIC, maintaining clear hand-off communication
- Represent The Way Immigration’s values, professionalism, and brand standards in every client interaction
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of intake and conversion workflows
Qualifications and Requirements
Required
- Solid knowledge of Canadian immigration programs including Express Entry, spousal and common-law sponsorship, Permanent Residence (PR) pathways, and Canadian citizenship and other visa types.
- 2 or more years of client-facing experience in a professional services, sales, or consultative role
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple active leads and follow-up tasks in a CRM environment
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with accountability
- Comfortable working in a target-driven environment and motivated by conversion outcomes
- Must be based in Calgary and available to work in-office Monday to Friday
Preferred
- Prior experience working at an immigration consulting firm, legal practice, or regulated professional services environment
- Familiarity with Attorney Fuel or similar legal/immigration CRM platforms
- Experience working directly with RCICs or immigration lawyers
- Conversational proficiency in a second language spoken by TWI’s client base (e.g., Punjabi, Hindi, Tagalog, Mandarin, or Spanish)
Compensation
This role offers a competitive base salary plus a performance-based commission structure tied to consultation bookings and client conversions. Compensation details will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
