Regalo Montessori Private School is currently seeking one additional Elementary Teaching Assistant to join our school, working alongside the Lead Montessori Elementary Teachers to support our continued high growth.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced and organized Classroom Assistant to join our Elementary team (ages 6–12). Working alongside our two AMI/OCT-trained Lead Teachers, you will help maintain a calm, well-prepared classroom while supporting children's academic, social, and emotional development.
The ideal candidate has strong classroom management skills, confidently sets clear boundaries, supports children with self-regulation and conflict resolution, takes initiative, and is eager to learn Montessori philosophy, materials, and child development through ongoing professional growth.
Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Support the daily operation of the Elementary classroom and maintain a prepared environment.
- Guide children with self-regulation, conflict resolution, and positive behaviour while ensuring classroom expectations and safety are consistently followed.
- Support small groups of children academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Prepare classroom materials, maintain learning spaces, and assist with daily school operations.
- Supervise children during lunch, outdoor time, field trips, and special events.
- Collaborate with the teaching team and participate in ongoing Montessori training and professional development.
- Attend Field Trips and Special Events; co-ordinate with Staff.
Qualifications:
Essential:
Previous experience in childcare working with children aged 6-12 years old is a requirement for this position.
Preferred:
Prior training and experience working in a School setting (Montessori or otherwise).

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
