Position Summary
As the Water Spider you will be the backbone of our manufacturing efficiency. Your primary responsibility is to ensure uninterrupted production by proactively managing the flow of materials, staging specialized kits, and assisting with machine operators . You will act as a vital liaison between the floor and management, maintaining a safe, organized workspace while utilizing equipment like forklifts and cranes to keep our supply chain moving.
Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure that workstations have a continuous supply of manufacturing materials and other consumables before they run out.
- Prepare and stage kits of parts for upcoming work orders to ensure operators can transition between tasks without searching for materials.
- Assist in machine operators by delivering the necessary tools and specialized components in advance.
- Move completed material away from the production area and prepare for shipping or storage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by regularly removing empty carts, debris, and recyclables from the work area.
- Safely navigate a fast-paced environment using material handling equipment such as Cranes, Kitting Carts and Forklifts.
- Serve as a liaison between floor operators and management to report shortages, quality issues, or equipment malfunctions.
- Regularly remove empty containers, debris, and recyclables from the work area.
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2–3 years of experience in material handling or kitting within a manufacturing.
- Previous experience in ERP systems is an asset (e.g., Infor).
- Current certification and proven proficiency in operating Forklifts and Overhead Cranes in a high-traffic manufacturing environment.
- Ability to maintain a high level of activity to service multiple workstations across production floor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Proven ability to work independently or as a proactive member of a team.
- Positive attitude with a genuine willingness to learn and grow.

Compensation: The anticipated base hourly range for this role is $22/hr - $26/hr. Actual base hourly range offered within this range may differ based on a range of factors, including individual experience, education, skills, and organizational needs.
