Qualifications:
- Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience
- High level of skill in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, Adobe Suite, Rhinoceros 3D and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of LUMION is a plus
- Produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D model for various projects
- Strong design skills
- Excellent organization skills, detailed oriented and organized
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, design, and problem-solving skills
- Appreciation and sensitivity to architectural design intent
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be knowledgeable in the Ontario Building Codes
- A strong sense of urgency to meet strict deadlines required for the completion of various project initiatives
- Willingness to work overtime as required
Duties:
- Lead and develop projects from early concept through design development
- Initiate and create architectural designs from concept through to construction
- Prepare drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Demonstrated proficiency through all phases of project development
- Competent knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures
- Design and document commercial and industrial building projects
- Consult with clients to determine their requirements
- Coordinate preliminary architectural studies for major new structures and alterations to existing structures and site development
- Organize and manage permit documents
- Work with teams across business lines, in remote locations, and coordinate with subcontractors
- Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions
- Attend meetings with clients
- Modify existing plans and elevations to fit client and sales needs
