We are currently looking for Excavator Operators to join our team for operating an excavator in aggregate, crushing, and mining environments.
Main responsibilities
- Operate an excavator equipped with a hydraulic hammer to break oversized rock and material;
- Feed crushers and screening plants while maintaining a consistent material flow to optimize production;
- Load, move, stockpile, and manage aggregate materials as required;
- Conduct daily pre-operational inspections and complete required documentation;
- Monitor equipment performance and promptly report mechanical issues or maintenance needs;
- Work closely with crushing plant operators, supervisors, and other team members to ensure efficient operations;
- Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures;
- Maintain a clean and safe work area;
- Assist with other site-related duties as required.
Qualifications and skills sought
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating excavators in heavy civil, mining, quarry, or aggregate operations;
- Experience operating excavators with hydraulic hammers/rock breakers;
- Experience feeding crushers and working around crushing and screening plants;
- Strong understanding of safe operating practices around mobile and stationary equipment;
- Valid driver’s licence;
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Strong communication and teamwork skills;
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
