We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Full-Time Dental Office Assistant. As a valued member of our dental practice, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. Your primary responsibilities will involve assisting the clinical staff with sterilization tasks and supporting the administrative staff with reminder calls. The following is an example of, but not an exhaustive list of, responsibilities:
- Assist the clinical staff with sterilization of dental instruments and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the treatment rooms and sterilization area
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits, ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available
- Assist the dentist and dental hygienists during procedures, as directed by the clinical staff
- Provide support to the administrative staff by making reminder calls to patients for upcoming appointments
- Handle patient inquiries, schedule appointments, and update patient records in accordance with established protocols
- Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and exceptional patient experience
Previous experience as a dental office assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory. Strong candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail,
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment,
- proficiency in using dental software and computer systems
- Familiarity with sterilization techniques and infection control protocols (onsite training to be provided)
