Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Service Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on automobiles, trucks, and heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, schematics, and specialized diagnostic equipment to identify issues
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, electrical system troubleshooting, and system upgrades
- Operate heavy machinery and industrial equipment safely and efficiently when required
- Follow safety protocols related to welding, HVAC systems, electrical work, and heavy lifting
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and technical drawings to facilitate repairs
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and timelines
- Assist in assembly or installation of mechanical components as needed
- Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or service technician; dealership experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including electrical, HVAC, welding, and industrial equipment
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, schematics, heavy lifting techniques, and maintenance procedures
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm machinery is desirable
- Familiarity with industrial equipment operation and assembly processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to automotive repair or heavy equipment operation are preferred
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $23.23-$46.27 per hour
