Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic At-Home Swim Instructor to teach swimming skills to toddlers in a private, home-based setting. This role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to make a positive impact on young children's confidence and safety in the water. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, experience with swimming, and a nurturing approach to working with young children.
Duties
- Conduct engaging and age-appropriate swimming lessons for toddlers in clients' homes
- Develop customized lesson plans that focus on water safety, basic swimming techniques, and confidence-building activities
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to all safety protocols and supervising children at all times during lessons
- Communicate progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians after each session
- Maintain clean and organized equipment and ensure the cleanliness of the teaching area
- Adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs of each child, fostering a positive learning experience
Qualifications
- Prior experience in teaching or working with young children is preferred
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to demonstrate techniques safely and effectively
- Knowledge of water safety principles and child development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with toddlers and their families
- Reliable transportation to travel between client locations
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not required; training can be provided if necessary
- Passion for teaching, patience, and enthusiasm for helping children learn new skills
Pay: $25.00-$41.52 per hour
