Job description:
We are currently recruiting a Personal Support Worker for a female employer who requires assistance with Activities of Daily Living. She is an independent, gentle individual who values a professional yet warm relationship with her PSW.
Someone patient, flexible, with a calm presence would be ideal.
Location: Victoria
Shifts & Hours of Work:
- Saturday: 9am to 12pm (flexibility to work 4pm to 7pm at times)
- Availability to work extra hours on Weds or Fridays to support employer to go swimming is an asset
Compensation: $23 per hour
Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):
- Medication assistance (reminders)
- Showering preparation and support
- Dressing assistance
- Maintain a clean and organized home
- Meal preparation, cooking, and meal planning
- Assist with passive stretching exercises
- Grocery and supply pick ups
Required Qualifications:
- Caregiver experience (minimum 6 months)
- Comfortable working in an environment with a cat and assisting with care tasks
- Non-smoker and non-vaper
- Someone who is physically fit
- Willing to support with stretching & massage (employer can train/direct)
- Class 5 drivers license is a strong asset
