Position Summary
We are currently hiring for an existing full-time Morning Security Guard position for EllisDon – 160 Horner Ave, Etobicoke.
This role is critical in maintaining a safe and secure construction/site environment while representing RBG Security with professionalism and confidence.
The ideal candidate must be experienced, proactive, and capable of handling high-pressure situations in a tactical setting.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Strong report writing skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Mandatory Screening Requirement
The selected candidate must provide a Criminal Record & Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) that is less than three (3) months old.
Mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Candidates must have the following PPE:
- 6-inch CSA approved, green patch safety lace-up boots (slip-on safety boots are NOT permitted)
- CSA and/or ANSI Type 2 hard hat with manufacturer-approved integrated (four-point) chin strap
- Class 2, Level 2 high-visibility vest, jacket, or shirt (orange or yellow with reflective stripes only — no red, black, blue, or other colours permitted)
- CSA approved safety glasses / eye protection
- Work gloves (appropriate hand protection required at all times)
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned premises to ensure safety and security
- Control site access and verify credentials
- Conduct surveillance using CCTV systems and other security technology
- Prevent loss and theft through proactive observation
- Respond promptly and effectively to incidents and emergencies
- De-escalate situations using professional tactical communication
- Maintain accurate and detailed incident and daily reports
- Enforce company and site-specific safety policies
- Collaborate with law enforcement when required
- Provide professional customer service while maintaining authority and presence
