We are looking for an experienced Manual Lathe Machinist to join an automotive parts company in Vaughan, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have approximately 5 years of hands-on experience operating a manual lathe and be comfortable performing precision machining work.
Responsibilities
- Operate and set up manual lathes to machine automotive components and parts.
- Perform turning, facing, threading, boring, drilling, and other machining operations.
- Read and understand basic mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
- Ensure parts meet required dimensions and quality standards.
- Select appropriate tools and materials for machining operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality requirements.
- Work effectively with the existing production and maintenance team.
Requirements
- Approximately 5 years of experience operating a Manual Lathe.
- Strong knowledge of manual machining techniques.
- Experience with precision measurements and inspection.
- Ability to read basic mechanical drawings.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Reliable and punctual with good attendance.
- Respectful, diligent, and professional in the workplace.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
