Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant/ Front to support our culinary team in providing exceptional food service. This role involves assisting with food preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent serving skills, and experience in food handling and meal preparation. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients
- Support cooking activities under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
- Help with food serving to customers or staff as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards
- Ensure proper handling and storage of food items to prevent contamination
- Follow all health and safety regulations during meal preparation and service
- Restock supplies and organize kitchen storage areas for efficiency
- Support the team during busy meal times to ensure timely service
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and safety standards is advantageous
- Experience in meal preparation, cooking, or the food industry will be considered a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role
Pay: Up to $17.60 per hour
