Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Food and Beverage Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest services, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling cash transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; we value a positive attitude and strong customer service skills. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth operations
- Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas in accordance with sanitation standards
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries or concerns professionally to ensure a positive dining experience
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests courteously and professionally
- Basic math skills for handling payments, making change, and managing tabs
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen work is a plus but not required
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Hospitality background or guest services experience will be beneficial for success in this role
Pay: $15.01-$17.00 per hour
