Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled, passionate Welding & Fabrication Teacher to lead our high school Fabrication program and spearhead our Dual Credit Welding program. In this role, you won't just teach a trade; you will mentor young people, manage a fully equipped shop, and bridge the gap between high school and post-secondary/industry success.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Mentorship

Teach high school Fabrication courses.
- Lead the Dual Credit welding curriculum, ensuring students meet both high school graduation and post-secondary technical training requirements.

Foster a safe, structured, and supportive shop environment rooted in Gospel values of respect, stewardship, and community.
Shop Management & Safety

Maintain, organize, and manage all shop equipment
- Enforce rigorous safety protocols and cultivate a "safety-first" mentality among students.

Manage inventory, order consumables (wire, gas, steel), and oversee the program budget.
Community & Industry Connections

Serve as the primary liaison with our post-secondary Dual Credit partner.
- Participate in school community life (e.g., staff prayer, school liturgies, or faith-based professional development).
Qualifications & Skills

Journeyman Welding Certificate / Red Seal (or equivalent regional master-level credential) is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in multiple welding processes and blueprint reading.

Previous experience mentoring apprentices or teaching youth is a massive asset.
Education & Licensing

Valid Teaching Certificate/License (or willingness to obtain an alternative/vocational teaching pathway certificate through the province.

Alternative: Significant industry experience with a commitment to pursuing a vocational teaching pathway (we will help support the right candidate through this process).

- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
