Our growth is built on strong relationships with mortgage brokers, real estate agents, investors, and referral partners, and we're looking for a driven Business Development Representative to expand that network.
About the Role
This is a phones-first, relationship-driven sales role. As a BDR at Bronco Mortgages, you will spend the majority of your day on outbound cold calls - introducing our lending programs to mortgage brokers, realtors, real estate investors, builders, and other referral sources - and then nurturing those contacts into long-term, deal-producing relationships.
You are the first voice prospects hear from Bronco Mortgages. Your job is to open doors, build trust, and keep our pipeline full of quality deal flow.
What You'll Do
- Cold call 60–100+ prospects per day, including mortgage brokers, real estate agents, investors, builders, and private borrowers, to introduce Bronco Mortgages' lending programs.
- Build and manage a book of referral partners, maintaining consistent touchpoints (calls, emails, check-ins) to stay top of mind when deals arise.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads by gathering deal details (property type, loan amount, LTV, timeline, exit strategy) and routing qualified opportunities to underwriting/loan origination.
- Follow up relentlessly - track every conversation in the CRM, schedule callbacks, and re-engage cold or stalled prospects.
- Educate prospects on private lending products, rates, terms, and how we differ from banks and institutional lenders.
- Collaborate with the lending team to ensure smooth handoffs and a great borrower/partner experience from first call to funded deal.
- Hit and exceed activity and pipeline targets - daily call volume, meetings booked, qualified deals submitted, and funded loan volume sourced.

What We're Looking For
Required:
- Minimum 2 years of mortgage industry experience (brokerage, lending, underwriting support, or business development).
- Level 2 mortgage license (active and in good standing) - this is a firm requirement.
- Genuine comfort with cold calling - you're energized by dials, not drained by them.
- Strong relationship-building instincts: you follow up, remember details, and play the long game.
- Excellent verbal communication skills - confident, clear, and personable on the phone.
- Working knowledge of lending terminology and deal structures (LTV, ARV, bridge loans, first/second position, etc.).
- Organized and disciplined with CRM hygiene, pipeline tracking, and follow-up cadences.
- Resilient, self-motivated, and coachable - you handle rejection well and keep dialing.
Nice to Have:
- Direct experience in private/alternative lending.
- Existing relationships with mortgage brokers, realtors, or real estate investors.
- Prior outbound sales or high-volume phone experience (SDR/BDR, inside sales).
