Production Technician / Print Production Specialist

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Flexible scheduling available once training has been successfully completed.
Starting Wage: From $19.00/hour

About the Position
SpeedPro Grande Prairie is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for operating wide-format printing and finishing equipment, coordinating production schedules, and ensuring all printed products meet our quality standards.
The ideal candidate is organized, works well under pressure, and takes pride in producing high-quality finished products.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain two wide-format printers.
- Operate vinyl plotters and cutting equipment.
- Operate laminating equipment for printed graphics and signage.
- Operate vinyl application rollers and finishing equipment.
- Coordinate production workflows to ensure efficient printing on various materials and vinyl products.
- Select appropriate print media, substrates, and vinyl materials for each project.
- Weed, mask, and tape vinyl graphics.
- Prepare files and materials for production and installation.
- Monitor print quality, color consistency, and production accuracy.
- Work closely with the sales and design teams to ensure project requirements are met.
- Monitor and adhere to scheduled project completion dates while coordinating production timelines to maintain efficient workflow and on-time delivery of all projects.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production area.
- Assist with packaging, shipping, and general production duties as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good understanding of color matching and color perception.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with sales, design, and production teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to last-minute schedule changes.
- Ability to problem-solve and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn production software and equipment.
- Previous sign, print, graphics, or manufacturing experience is considered an asset but is not required.
