Warehouse Associate
The Role
As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a key role in coordinating the flow of merchandise between our storage areas and the retail floor. This is a hands-on position focused on documenting, storing, and distributing stock to ensure our products are in the right place at the right time.
We are looking for a reliable team player who is up for the challenge of a physically demanding role. You should enjoy a fast-paced retail environment and take pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse during our busy summer season.
This full-time position will be up to 40 hours per week (5 x 8-hour shifts) and requires flexibility to work shifts from Monday to Sunday from 8am - 10pm.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Flow Management
- Coordinate Merchandise: Help communicate the flow of stock, including documenting, storing, locating, and distributing items within the store and warehouse.
- Space Utilization: Assist in allocating storage locations based on the time of year and product type to keep the warehouse running at peak performance.
- Inventory Support: Maintain a precise inventory of items within the warehouse, filing records and making adjustments as needed to ensure accuracy.
Equipment & Safety
- Power Equipment Operation: Operate indoor and outdoor forklifts to move and rearrange stock safely. (training provided)
- Maintenance: Use specialized warehouse equipment correctly and ensure all vehicles receive proper routine maintenance and servicing.
- Safe Storage: Ensure all products are properly and safely secured on pallets for both storage and transport.
Operations & Maintenance
- Warehouse Excellence: Keep our warehouse organized and clean, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment for the whole team.
- Collaborative Support: Help out with special projects and additional tasks, ensuring the store is always ready for our customers.
Requirements & Physical Demands
- Physical Stamina: This is a high-energy, physical role requiring frequent lifting, moving, pushing, and constant walking.
- Availability: We are looking for someone flexible, available for early morning shifts, weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
- Technical Skill: Experience operating power jacks and forklifts is an asset.
