Job Title: Dock Worker

Shift: Monday-Friday, 10AM-6:30PM
Schedule Type: Contract - Full time
Wage: $20 per hour +4% vacation pay
Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Dock Worker to join our team for a Full Time Temporary Job with a high potential for extension. This role involves working in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment to support loading and unloading activities, handling heavy materials, and operating outdoors in all weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload freight and materials in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform physical activities including heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs), bending, and stretching for extended periods
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following safety policies and procedures
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Handle materials properly to prevent damage and personal injury
- Wear PPE at all times during shifts
- Follow company safety expectations and demonstrate a commitment to safe work practices
Requirements:
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Forklift Certification
- Proof of clear criminal record check (issued within the past 3 months)
- WHMIS and TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods) certification required
- CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots required
- Ability and willingness to work weekends, evenings, and shifts as scheduled
- Physically capable of handling heavy lifting and extended periods of physical work
Work Environment:
This position operates in an active dock setting with outdoor exposure. Candidates must be prepared for changing weather conditions and a high degree of physical activity.
