Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in customer service, food handling, and upselling within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems, including Micros POS, and process transactions efficiently
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Assist in food preparation and ensure proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage cash handling accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, utensils, and service areas according to food safety standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns promptly
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Basic math skills for cashiering, bill splitting, and handling cash transactions accurately
- Understanding of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
