Job Summary
The Columbian Centennial Housing Society (CCHS) is a not-for-profit housing society established in 1981 and is well situated in beautiful city of Kelowna. The Society provides affordable housing in three apartment buildings and offered affordable housing and a mix of RGI housing.
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to work closely with the Executive Director (ED) and Tenant Relations Officer/Operations Manager in the office environment.

Typical Responsibilities:

· You must be detail oriented, analytical, organized, a problem solver; have a strong work ethic and work well under pressure.
. Financial reporting & Analysis - preparing financial statements and variance analysis
. Budgeting & forecasting - leading annual budget cycle and ongoing forecasts
. Strategic advisory - providing financial advice and supporting operational planning
. Cash flow & treasury management - monitor cash flow, managing banking, monthly banking reconciliations as needed
. Audit & compliance - overseeing audit processes, internal controls, and regulatory compliance
. Vendor & stakeholder relations - managing vendor relationships and supporting strategic decision making
· A minimum of 5 years experience in general accounting practices and accounting procedure in Not-for-Profit sector would be consider and asset.
· Working knowledge of accounting in the context of BC Housing Frameworks or Housing Property Management.
· Experience with QuickBooks accounting software, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank deposit, bank reconciliations, rent processing and responsible for ordering office supplies and accountable to approved operational budgets.
· A strong business acumen and are very strategic in your thinking to express a vision for change.
· The ability to maintain strict confidentiality and have the experience to deal with employee payroll and benefits, WCB, EI, CPP and RRSP programs and Tenant Relations.
· The ability to anticipate and plan for changes to our current policies, practices, and systems necessary to move the organization in a new strategic direction and ensure long-term succession planning.
· A Certificate in General Accounting, or a combination of work experiences.
