In the role of Senior Consultant in SCA, you will be a pivotal member of the team.
Surgical Care Alberta (SCA) is seeking a forward thinking and experienced Senior Consultant to play an important role in advancing surgical optimization in Alberta, directly aligned to Alberta’s Acute Care Action Plan and top health system priorities. As a member of the Surgery Allocation & Wait Times team the Senior Consultant will support provincial surgery access and system-level planning and monitoring, as well as programmatic functions and initiatives that support surgery waitlist management and reduction of surgical service wait times. This role is highly collaborative, working across SCA and ACA teams, Health Service Providers, Health Shared Services, and other partners with shared goals tied to improving surgical access. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of surgical systems and structures in Alberta, clinical knowledge, a commitment to equity and excellence, and the ability to navigate complex organizational environments with clarity and purpose.

Required Qualifications:
A post-secondary degree with health care experience (e.g., nursing, nutrition, occupational therapy, epidemiology). Masters preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development.
