Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring accurate medication management. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, located in the St. Boniface Clinic. The pharmacy operates Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm and is closed evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and labeling prescription medications accurately.
- Checking refill prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
- Verify prescription information for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain detailed records of medication dispensation and patient interactions in compliance with pharmacy regulations.
- Manage medication inventory, including stock replenishment and proper storage.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and proper handling of pharmaceuticals.
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and documentation related to pharmacy operations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes through effective medication management.
- Receive prescriptions and renewal requests at the drop off or via telephone.
- Operate the till as needed.
- Other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician with the College of Pharmacy of Manitoba.
- Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in medication dispensing.
- Compassionate approach to patient care with effective communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.
- Knowledge of Kroll is desirable but not mandatory.
- Fluency in French or another language that is not English is desirable.

Pay: $27.00-$32.50 per hour
