The Sales Engineer’s role is to strengthen customer partnerships, support existing accounts, and drive business growth. This role involves hands-on technical sales support, working with the production and QC teams to ensure customers receive reliable solutions, timely responses, and seamless project coordination. You’ll report to the Sales Engineering Lead.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Management & Technical Support
- Understand customers’ technical requirements, production processes, and application scenarios, and translate them into internal technical language.
- Develop and review technical proposals, specifications, feasibility analyses, and production solutions.
- Collaborate with project coordinators and the engineering team to prepare accurate technical and commercial quotations.
- Coordinate quotation, order review, and project handover processes.
- Maintain and strengthen customer relationships through proactive communication, problem-solving, and quality focus.
- Support the sales team in conducting regular business reviews and long-term partnership planning.
2. Sales Operations & Growth
- Monitor quality performance, ensuring customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
- Support marketing, trade shows, and customer visits to promote company products and services.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Conduct joint customer visits and business reviews with the sales team to identify issues and opportunities.
- Support commercial negotiations by providing technical input on proposals and contracts.
- Follow up through the full project lifecycle—from design, prototyping, and trial production to mass production—to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
- Collaborate closely with factory engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure project feasibility and execution excellence.
- Support resolution of technical, quality, or delivery issues raised by customers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales engineering, application engineering, or technical sales in OEM / precision parts / assembly manufacturing industries.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical components, machining, and assembly processes.
- Proven track record of managing key OEM accounts and technical sales cycles.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally frequently.

Compensation Range
- Base Salary: CAD $70,000 – $110,000 (depending on experience and technical expertise)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00-$111,000.00 per year
