We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Full-Time Truck Driver Training Instructor to join our training team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial truck driving and a passion for mentoring and guiding new drivers entering the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on instruction to entry-level students in a professional, respectful, and supportive manner
- Monitor and evaluate student progress through daily assessments and scheduled performance evaluations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and documentation
- Supervise and ensure student compliance with program policies and safety standards during all phases of instruction
- Stay current with MTO regulations governing the trucking industry and incorporate this knowledge into instruction
- Perform additional duties as required, including extended hours, evenings, and weekends
Qualifications:
- Valid AZ License with a minimum of 5 years of recent and continuous AZ commercial driving experience, up to the date of your application (resume must clearly reflect this)
- Minimum of two years recent (up to the date of your application) manual transmission driving experience
- Demonstrate the ability to teach or train others with patience, clarity, and professionalism
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physically able to sit/stand for extended periods and enter/exit training vehicles multiple times per day
