About Spark Techies:
Spark Techies is a dynamic fast growing after-school STEM education center where kids explore robotics, coding, and engineering through hands-on, fun learning experiences. We prepare students for global competitions like First Lego League (FLL) and First Tech Challenge (FTC), helping them build skills for future success. As we expand, we’re looking for energetic, caring educators to join our team. About the role: We're looking for energetic, patient instructors to lead hands-on STEM classes for kids (ages 6–14) — LEGO robotics, 3D design & printing, coding, and camp programs. You'll deliver prepared lesson plans, support students through guided builds and projects, and keep learning fun.
What you need (required):
- STEM background is mandatory — post-secondary education or proven work experience in science, technology, engineering, math, or a related technical field
- Experience working with children (classroom, tutoring, coaching, camp, or volunteering)
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with part-time hours
Assets (nice-to-have):
- Engineering or computer science education/experience is a strong asset — mechanical, electrical, software, or robotics experience, CAD/3D printing, or block-and-text-based coding .
- Prior teaching or mentoring experience
- Availability for after-school, weekends, March break, and summer camp blocks
